What is Moebius Syndrome?
Morbius Syndfrome is an extremely rare condition. It manifests itself in many different ways but the main characteristic is a mask like face. This is because the cranial nerves have been affected during pregnancy. The name comes from Paul Moebius an Austrian doctor who first researcxhed the condition at the end of the 19th century.
Other characteristics of the condition might include missing fingers and or toes. Eye conditions such as dry eyes and or squints may also be present.
Moebius Sydrome can cause learning difficulties, but this incidence seems to be fairly low.
